  • Texas Rural Water Association
    The Texas Rural Water Association is a statewide nonprofit educational and trade association dedicated to the improvement of water quality and supply. Our motto is "Progress Through Unity." Founded in 1969, TRWA represents a full spectrum of the drinking water community including nonprofit water supply and sewer service corporations, special utility districts, municipal utility districts, WCIDs, small municipal utilities and privately-owned water utilities. Membership includes more than 740 water utilities in Texas who supply water to approximately 2.5 million people.

    The USGS serves the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life.
  • Texas Water Development Board
    The Texas Water Development Board’s (TWDB) mission is To provide leadership, planning, financial assistance, information, and education for the conservation and responsible development of water for Texas. Our mission is a vital part of Texas’ overall vision and its mission and goals which relate to maintaining the viability of the state’s natural resources, health and economic development. To accomplish its goals of planning for the state’s water resources and for providing affordable water and wastewater services, the TWDB provides water planning, data collection and dissemination, financial assistance and technical assistance services to the citizens of Texas. The tremendous population growth that the state has and will continue to experience, and the continual threat of severe drought, only intensify the need for the TWDB to accomplish its goals in an effective and efficient manner.   • Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
    The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is the environmental agency for the state. The TCEQ has approximately 3,000 employees, 16 regional offices, and a $510.4 million operating budget for the 2006 fiscal year (including both baseline and contingency appropriations). Most of the budget is funded by program fees ($450.7 million, or 88 percent). Federal funds provide $45.8 million, or 9 percent; state general revenue, including earned federal funds, provides $5.4 million, or 1 percent; and other sources provide the remaining $8.5 million, or 2 percent.
  • Lower Colorado River Authority
    Energy, water and community services for Central Texas LCRA plays a variety of roles in Central Texas: delivering electricity, managing the water supply and environment of the lower Colorado River basin, developing water and wastewater utilities, providing public recreation areas, and supporting community and economic development. LCRA mission statement The mission of the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is to provide reliable, low-cost utility and public services in partnership with our customers and communities and to use our leadership and environmental authority to ensure the protection and constructive use of the area's natural resources. LCRA is a Texas conservation and reclamation district operating with no taxing authority.

    Mission The Brazos River Authority exists to develop, manage and protect the water resources of the Brazos River Basin to meet the needs of Texas.
